i dont get it, i get a the biggest screen i can on my TV so i can have a bigger image duh, so whats the point for widescreen? i dont want to get a big TV then get a movie that puts those 3 inch black bars on both top and bottom. is it impossible with todays technology to make have a clear picture in full screen?

I think I found a great deal so I want to brag about it first. I got a 46 inch Westinghouse 720p TV that had a regular price of $1499 for $899 through Office Depot new. It came out last year so they were moving out the old to make room for the new.
So I have this TV in my house but I don’t know if I need extra NECESSARY accessories or not. I have DirecTV right now so I would like to see some channels in HD. Do I need to buy separate cables to watch HD? Do I need some surge protector or other things like that?

Please no mentions of 1080p or getting the newest, top of the line technology. I don’t like to pay the $1000+ premium to get the best available for 6 months and then have the next ‘best’ come out.

I’m looking to buy an mp3 player with the following:

- menu to scroll through to select a specific album/track (without having to scan through all the tracks)

- mid range, so relatively cheap

- no preference for rechargeable or batteries

- NOT iPod (but similar menu function)

- doesn’t have to be the newest, top-notch technology

As product descriptions online won’t tell you if they have a menu function in order to select songs, I’m having trouble finding something. So if you know what’s what, or already own something that would suit my needs, I need your suggestions! Thanks!

This reminds me of a rat in a controlled environment, which keeps pressing the tab for a new food pellet regardless that the bin is empty.
